Springfield Armory Hellcat and Mags on Table

Springfield Hellcat Review – Micro Size, Max Capacity

When it comes to everyday carry, the Springfield Hellcat checks all the right boxes — and then some. I’m not a tactical operator or professional reviewer — just an everyday gun enthusiast who values safety, the Second Amendment, and being prepared. I also happen to build firearm storage solutions, so I spend a lot of time around gear and setups that work.

I’ve carried this micro-compact in everything from an appendix rig to a 4 o’clock holster, and it’s been surprisingly comfortable every time. The grip texture is one of my favorite features — aggressive enough for control but not harsh. With smaller hands, it fits me perfectly, and for a gun this size, the capacity is impressive. Throw in the optics-ready slide and it becomes a seriously capable carry piece.

🔥 What I Like

  • Exceptional Grip Texture – Grippy without being abrasive. Great balance.
  • Big Capacity, Small Frame – Up to 13+1 rounds in a true micro-compact.
  • Optics-Ready – No need for gunsmithing. Mount and go.
  • Comfortable to Carry – Appendix or 4–6 o’clock, it just works.

🤔 What to Consider

  • Grip Size – Perfect for small to medium hands. Bigger hands might want a pinky extension or longer grip.
  • Sight Picture – The U-notch rear and bright front sight took some getting used to, but they grew on me after a few sessions.

🎯 Perfect For

  • First-time concealed carriers
  • EDC fans who want capacity without bulk
  • Shooters with smaller hands
  • Anyone looking for a feature-rich micro 9mm

🧱 Store It the Right Way

Whether it’s your EDC or backup home defense pistol, the Hellcat deserves better than a junk drawer.  Pair it with our custom Springfield Hellcat Wall Mount and Hellcat Mag Mount for a secure, accessible setup that keeps your gear ready — and looking sharp.
